Coldside Make It Happen Fund

The Coldside Make It Happen Fund

The Coldside Make It Happen Fund will be run by local people for local people. The aim is to support and encourage local groups, by offering funding to them to support projects and initiatives that create positive change within their communities.

The money comes from the What Matters to You Make It Happen Fund in the Coldside ward. We have £30,000 available from this grants programme. The grants are administered by Corra, who are supporting the administration of the fund.

WM2U is looking for people from the local community to join the Coldside MIHF panel, as well as people or groups interested in applying for funding.

Panellists will be assisted by WM2U and grant making partners, the Corra Foundation, through training and ongoing support to develop grant making principles, criteria and eligibility and supported during the decision making meetings. There is no requirement for previous experience or qualifications, the opportunity to become a panel member is open to everyone.

Training sessions have been arranged for the following dates:

Friday 29th August from 0930 to 1200

Friday 5th September from 0930 to 1200

Friday 19th September from 0930 to 1200

Friday 26th September from 0930 to 1200

Once trained, panel members will make decisions about the administration of the fund, providing an important perspective on local strengths, needs and action required to help communities, and the people within them, flourish.
