East End Make It Happen Fund

The East End Make It Happen Fund (MIHF) is run by local people for local people. The aim is to support and encourage local groups, by offering funding to them to support projects and initiatives that create positive change within their communities.

The money comes from the What Matters to You Make It Happen Fund in the East End ward. We have £30,000 available from this grants programme. The grants are administered by Corra, who are supporting the running of the fund.

The East End Make It Happen Fund is run by "Where Everyone Matters",  a group of parents recruited from the East End ward (Douglas, Craigie, Mid-Craigie & Linlathen) who have designed, developed and are the community voices that make decisions on the funding distributed by What Matters to You via The Corra Foundation.

The fund is open to applications that benefit and include the people of East End ward through:

  • Improving life for all members of the community.
  • Creating and delivering affordable opportunities for all.
  • Providing equitable opportunities for all members of the community in the East End ward.

We were delighted to share £23,840 of funding with 13 local groups at a Celebration event at Douglas Community Centre on Friday 26th June 2026.

We will post any updates on the East End Make It Happen Fund here as they become available.
