Alloa and Lornshill Make It Happen Fund

The Grassroots Make It Happen Fund (MIHF) is run by local people for local people. The aim is to support and encourage local groups, by offering funding to them to support projects and initiatives that create positive change within their communities.

The money comes from the What Matters to You Make It Happen Fund in the High School catchment areas of Lornshill and Alloa. We have £20,000 available (£10, 000 allocated to each catchment area) from this grants programme. The grants are administered by Corra, who are supporting the running of the fund.

The Grassroots Make It Happen Fund is for the catchment areas of Lornshill and Alloa highlighted in pink and green.

The Grassroots Make It Happen Fund is run by a group of people recruited from the communities of Alloa and  Lornshill  High School catchment areas ( Clackmannan, Fishcross, Sauchie, Glenochil Village, Devonside, Cambus, Forestmill and  Tullibody) who have designed, developed and are the community voices that make decisions on the funding distributed by What Matters to You via The Corra Foundation.

The Grassroots Make It Happen funds is open to applications that benefit and include the people of the High School Catchment areas of Alloa and Lornshill through;

  • Improving the wellbeing of children, young people, families, parents and  their carers’.
  • Improving and supporting the ambitions of the community.
  • Putting the feel-good factor back into our communities.
  • Also, the funding criteria supports that: “Organisations based in other parts of Clackmannanshire can apply where the people who live in the areas of Lornshill and Alloa have been fully included in the planning and delivery of the activity. But the activity needs to be delivered in these areas”.

The Grassroots Make It Happen Fund closed at 5pm on Friday 10th October.

We will post further updates here on successful applicants and update on next steps for the Grassroots Make It Happen Fund.
