East End Make It Happen Fund
The East End Make It Happen Fund (MIHF) is run by local people for local people. The aim is to support and encourage local groups, by offering funding to them to support projects and initiatives that create positive change within their communities.
The money comes from the What Matters to You Make It Happen Fund in the East End ward. We have £30,000 available from this grants programme. The grants are administered by Corra, who are supporting the running of the fund.
The East End Make It Happen Fund is run by "Where Everyone Matters", a group of parents recruited from the East End ward (Douglas, Craigie, Mid-Craigie & Linlathen) who have designed, developed and are the community voices that make decisions on the funding distributed by What Matters to You via The Corra Foundation.
The fund is open to applications that benefit and include the people of East End ward through:
- Improving life for families across the ward
- Creating and delivering affordable opportunities
- Providing equality of opportunity for all families living in the East End ward.
At A Celebration event at Douglas Community Centre on 7th November, 14 community groups were supported with a total of £22, 979
The East End MIHF is now closed to applications. More details about the next steps for the East End Make It happen Fund will be posted here in the near future.
