North East Make It Happen Fund
The North East Make It Happen Fund (MIHF) is run by local people for local people. The aim is to support and encourage local groups, by offering funding to them to support projects and initiatives that create positive change within their communities.
The money comes from the What Matters to You Make It Happen Fund in the North East ward. We have £30,000 available from this grants programme. The grants are administered by Corra, who are supporting the running of the fund.
The North East Make It Happen Fund is run by a group of people recruited from the North East ward (Dalclaverhouse, Mill O Mains, Emmock Woods, Whitfield, Fintry, Ballumbie) who have designed, developed and are the community voices that make decisions on the funding distributed by What Matters to You via The Corra Foundation.
The fund is open to applications that benefit and include the people of the North East ward through:
- Creating a fairer more equitable community.
- Creating a more inclusive community.
- Contributing to community wealth building
At A Celebration event at Finmill Centre on 8th November, 6 community groups were supported with a total of £14,602
The North East MIHF is now closed to applications. More details about the next steps for the North East Make It happen Fund will be posted here in the near future.
