Growing Matters in Clackmannanshire
Since beginning our What Matters to You work in Clackmannanshire in the Autumn of 2023 alongside the Clackmannanshire Council Family Wellbeing Partnership, we have sought ways to work together with local parents and local practitioners to co-design and find solutions to things that matter within their family or community.
The first of these to get underway is a project at the Ben Cleuch Centre which provides a Community Access Point (CAP) and library services for Tillicoultry.
The Ben Cleuch Centre has become a hub for the refugee group and with support from the Education Refugee Team and Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) that will become a home for the parents.
A modest investment from the WM2U Make It happen Fund and Clackmannanshire has enabled the refurbishment of a polytunnel that will become a home for the parents as they start to develop their plans for a growing programme whilst benefitting from the other onsite services offered through the Ben Cleuch Centre.
WM2U is looking forward to working with the parents as they start to develop their ideas and develop further connections with other community growing groups and deliver on family celebration events.
